Ever wonder how to write a novel? Well, it’s a very personal thing. Everyone has a method for their own madness. (And let’s be very clear, writing a novel is its own kind of madness.) If you’d like to know some of how I harness my own insanity to start putting words down on paper, this is the place.
In this blog series, you’ll see those things that I’ve found especially invaluable to getting my first books done. And since it wasn’t that long ago that I finished my first books, you know that I’m speaking my own personal truth. At this point in my career, I’m not a best-selling author with an enormous back catalog. Like you, I’m a fledgling writer just trying to get his books done. Also, like you (or some of you at least), I balance a day job or two, a family, some recreation, and my writing. Every minute I get tapping away at the keyboard counts.
So take a look at some of these tips, and pop in to leave a comment or two. I’d love to hear how you got your own first novel out into the world.
